The Heart of a Woman
1. I am a daughter; my parents are Bridget Jane and Eldon Murrel.
2. I am a sister; my siblings are William, Eugene, Terrill, Donald, and Madeline.
3. I am an Aunt....lol...to numerous to mention-last count over 50
4. I am a Mother; James, Patrick, Joseph, Samuel, and Madeline
5. I am a grandmother; Brandi, Daniel, Gregory, Alana, Brittany, Kaitlyn, Victoria, Christian, Cheyenne, Lilia, Kayle, Alexa and Cash.
6. I am a Christian; saved by the grace and forgiveness of the Creator, through His son Jesus.
7. I am Native American - Anishanabee (Ojibwe), Sicilian, Irish, and German by descent.
8. I am an abuse survivor and a rape survivor.
9. I am stronger and more courageous than any of you will ever know...because of ALL of the above.
10. I do my best to honor those who are listed here, most of all my LORD and Savior Jesus.
But do not think me weak because I am a woman or because I am compassionate and kind and loving. Hurt my family or dishonor my LORD and you may find that my strength and my character far exceeds your expectations.
I am a woman.
I am the strength of this nation. For I teach the young to honor their elders and to serve their Creator with honor.
I pray for the soldier and the laborer, the businessman and the husbands and fathers of this nation.
There are those who misuse and dishonor the women of this world. They do not know, that they are dishonoring those who gave them life, who teach their children, and who pray for their safety.
They are foolish.
They forget where they came from; the heart of a woman.

I disagree that they do not know, I am a man and there is no excuse for that behavior. All must be accountable for their actions. I have many times interviened at person risk to stop the abuse. Not only with family members, but also with strangers. It is easier for most people to look the other way, but it's wrong not to help others. Like they say just because nobody is in the forest when the tree falls, that does not mean the tree does not make a sound.

We have a lot of facets and wear a lot of hats. Men love us or hate us, it seems, because of it. They adore us or demean us. I guess it works both ways, though. Good article and well presented.
